Lee appeared in the 1998 James Bond movie Licence to Kill, in which she plays a Hong Kong narcotic agent. Lee, a professiosnal modern dancer, was prominently featured in the film’s opening title sequence designed by Maurice Binder. Binder was known for 14 James Bond opening title sequences, creating the signature gun barrel sequence along with women floating about in various activities. Since then Carmen had roles in the parody films Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Disaster Movie.
She began her career as a singer after moving to Minneapolis, where she met Prince, who produced her self-titled debut studio album, released in 1993. Electra began glamor modeling in 1996 with frequent appearances in Playboy magazine, before relocating to Los Angeles, where she had her breakthrough portraying Lani McKenzie in the action drama series Baywatch.
This set was constructed in the studio to replicate a concert stage for a rock and roll concert. Being in Santa Monica we had access to virtually every movie prop ever used. Rather than have Carmen follow the standard “smash your guitar” at the end of a concert performance we came up with the idea of Carmen licking the phallic neck of the guitar. Fabulous!!!
